Position: Desktop Support Engineer

Location: Kita koiwa Edogwa-ku Tokyo

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking experienced Desktop Support Engineer to join our team at recruitment company. This role involves resolving technical queries, installing and configuring software and hardware, and implementing preventive maintenance measures to minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Technical Support: This includes troubleshooting software applications, diagnosing hardware problems, and resolving connectivity issues to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
  2. Installation and Configuration: Ensure that all systems are set up correctly and are compatible with the organization’s network infrastructure.
  3. Hardware Maintenance: Conduct hardware inspections, perform upgrades or replacements as necessary, and keep an inventory of hardware assets.
  4. Security Management:  Implement security protocols, such as antivirus software, firewalls, and encryption tools, to safeguard against cyber threats and unauthorized access.
  5. Salary Range: Depending on the candidate’s experience and capabilities.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proficiency in desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
  • Knowledge of desktop hardware components and peripherals.
  • Familiarity with software installation and configuration processes.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), or ITIL Foundation (desired).
